I’m Louise Gorrod - a Sussex-based writer, stylist and creative rooted in seasonal storytelling, simple living and thoughtful visual worlds.

My work is inspired by the changing seasons, food, making and everyday life. I create editorial and brand content that brings together writing, styling and storytelling, with a focus on work that feels grounded, warm and visually considered.

With a background in design and lifestyle communications, I’ve spent the past 20 years building a freelance practice across editorial, creative content and brand storytelling. I regularly contribute to The Simple Things, where I am the freelance Wishlist Editor, creating monthly seasonal Wishlist pages for over 10 years.

Alongside my freelance work, I run a school garden club - a project that reflects many of the same values that underpin my creative practice: seasonality, nature, and making things by hand.

At the heart of everything I do is a focus on creating work that feels thoughtful, useful and quietly beautiful.
